We are seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and maintaining our organization’s network infrastructure. The role requires a deep understanding of networking technologies, protocols, and security practices. The Network Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of our network environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain wired and wireless network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and other network devices.
• Configure and optimize network protocols such as TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLANs, and VPNs to ensure efficient data transmission and network security.
• Monitor network performance, troubleshoot network issues, and implement solutions to minimize downtime and optimize network performance.
• Perform network capacity planning and upgrade activities to support the organization’s growth and evolving business needs.
• Implement and enforce network security measures, including access control, firewall policies, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and vulnerability assessments.
• Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate network infrastructure with other systems and services, including cloud platforms, virtualization environments, and enterprise applications.
• Create and maintain network documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and procedures.
• Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in networking and security to recommend and implement innovative solutions.
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members and assist in their professional development.
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond to network emergencies outside of regular business hours as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. (Master’s degree preferred).
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in designing, implementing, and managing enterprise-scale network infrastructure.
• In-depth knowledge of networking concepts, protocols, and technologies, including TCP/IP, Ethernet, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, QoS, and SNMP.
• Hands-on experience with network hardware and software from vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto Networks, and Aruba.
• Strong understanding of network security principles and best practices, including access control, encryption, authentication, and security protocols.
• Experience with network monitoring and management tools, such as Wireshark, Nagios, SolarWinds, and Cisco Prime.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Relevant certifications such as CCNA, JNCIA, FCA or equivalent are highly desirable.
